Lake House Group
Privacy policy
Effective date and last updated: October 18, 2026
This policy explains how Lake House Group (LHG, we) collects, uses, shares and keeps personal information through lakehousegrp.com and the services this site relies on. Personal information is information about you that can identify you, such as your name, email address or phone number.
We wrote it to meet Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1), called the Act below. This policy is published in English and in French. Both versions have the same value.
1. Who we are
Agence LHG inc., doing business as Lake House Group, 3 Place Ville Marie, Suite 400, Montréal, Quebec H3B 2E3, Canada.
This policy covers the website lakehousegrp.com, its contact form, the AI Fit store assessment, the newsletter sign-up on our Learn pages, and the booking and webinar forms that the site links to or shows.
2. Person in charge of the protection of personal information
Under section 3.1 of the Act, the person in charge of the protection of personal information at LHG is Antoine Lescun, Founder and CEO.
Write to him at antoine.l@lakehousegrp.com or by mail at the address above, with "Personal information" in the subject line. This is the address for every question, request or complaint about your personal information.
3. What we collect and why
We collect only what we need for the purposes below. Each form also states its purpose where you fill it in.
- Contact form. Your name and email (required), and your phone number, company, the service you are interested in and your message (optional). We use them to answer your request and to discuss a possible project with you. We also record the page you sent the form from and the campaign codes in the link that brought you to the site (for example the ad or newsletter), to know which of our channels work. To limit abuse, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address instead of the address itself.
- AI Fit store assessment. The address of the store you want assessed, up to two other store addresses you add, and the choices you make in the questions. We use them to produce your AI Fit report. To produce it, our system reads the public pages of the store you named. To limit abuse, the address of your connection is turned into a scrambled code before our AI Fit service receives it.
- AI Fit library access. Your name, email and phone number, and what you ask for (access to the full workflow library, or access plus help setting up a workflow). We use them to open the library on your browser for 30 days, to record your request with your AI Fit report in our sales records, and to alert our team. We use your phone number only to contact you about your AI Fit results, and not for marketing calls or texts. Sending this form does not sign you up for marketing.
- Newsletter. Your email address, to send you new pieces from our Learn pages. Each newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Calls and webinars. When you book a call, you enter your details on Google Calendar's booking page. When you register for a webinar, you enter them on Riverside's form. We receive the details you enter there, such as your name and email, and use them only to schedule and hold the call or webinar.
- Emails you send us. What you write and your email address, to reply to you.
- Browsing data, only if you accept cookies. Pages visited, clicks, the type of device and browser, and the link that brought you to the site, collected by the technologies described in section 8 of this policy.
4. How we collect it
- Directly from you, through the forms on this site and the forms of the services we link to.
- Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies when you browse the site, once you have accepted them (section 8 of this policy).
- From public sources. For AI Fit, our system reads the public pages of the store address you submit.
5. Your consent
When you give us personal information through a form for the purposes stated there, you consent to its use and communication for those purposes (section 8.3 of the Act). We do not use it for another purpose without your consent, unless the law allows it. For measurement and advertising cookies, we first ask for your consent through the cookie banner (section 8 of this policy).
You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the person in charge named in section 2 of this policy, or, for cookies, through the "Cookies" link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing it may mean we can no longer answer your request, and your AI Fit library access will end.
6. Who sees your information
Within LHG, only the team members who need your information to handle your request can see it: the people with access to our sales records and the person who receives alerts about new requests.
We use service providers that handle information on our behalf. The list below gives each category of provider and the provider we use today.
- Website and application hosting, by Render.
- Database and file storage, by Supabase.
- Team messaging for alerts about new requests, by Slack.
- Email delivery for internal notifications, by Resend.
- Measurement and advertising, by Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads), only if you accept cookies.
- Product analytics, by PostHog, only if you accept cookies.
- Spam protection, by Cloudflare Turnstile.
- Newsletter, by Klaviyo.
- Call booking, by Google Calendar, and webinars, by Riverside.
- AI models that analyze the public pages of a store for AI Fit, by OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to. They receive information from the store's public pages only, and not your name, email or phone number.
- Technical monitoring of AI Fit, by Langfuse. It receives technical records only, and no contact details or store addresses.
If you have accepted advertising cookies and then send the contact form, Google receives a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email and phone number to measure whether our ads led to your request.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may also communicate it when the law requires or allows it.
7. Information that leaves Quebec
Your personal information may be communicated outside Quebec. Our providers store or process it in the United States and other countries where they operate. Our website and application hosting, by Render, is in the United States.
Before personal information is communicated outside Quebec, we assess the privacy impact and put a written agreement in place with the provider, as section 17 of the Act requires.
9. How long we keep it
- AI Fit scan without contact details, 7 days. After that we delete the store address, the report and the scrambled form of your connection address.
- AI Fit contact details, 12 months from your latest request. After that we delete your name, email and phone number and the copies of your report saved with them, end your library access and archive the related sales record, which holds no contact details.
- AI Fit library cookie, 30 days on your browser.
- Contact form requests and the related sales records, 24 months after our last exchange with you.
- If you become a client, the records of our business relationship, for the duration of the contract plus 6 years, to meet our tax obligations.
- Newsletter, until you unsubscribe.
- PostHog session recordings, 30 days.
- Any other personal information, only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.
When a period ends, we delete the information or make it anonymous.
10. How we protect it
We use security measures suited to the sensitivity of the information. For example, connections to this site are encrypted (HTTPS), we keep a scrambled form of IP addresses submitted through our forms instead of the addresses, the AI Fit library access key is stored only in scrambled form, and access to your information within LHG is limited to the team members who need it.
11. Your rights
- Access (section 27 of the Act). You can ask whether we hold personal information about you and get a copy. If the information is computerized, you can ask for it as a written and intelligible transcript. Information you gave us can also be sent to you in a structured, commonly used technological format, unless that raises serious practical difficulties.
- Correction (section 28 of the Act). You can ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal, or whose collection, communication or keeping is not authorized by law.
- Withdrawal of consent (section 8 of the Act). You can withdraw your consent to the use or communication of your information.
- Information on request (section 8 of the Act). You can ask what personal information we collected from you, which categories of people at LHG have access to it, how long we keep it, and the contact information of the person in charge.
- End of dissemination and de-indexing (section 28.1 of the Act). You can ask us to stop disseminating information about you, or to de-index a link attached to your name that gives access to it, when that dissemination breaks the law or a court order, or when it causes you serious injury under the conditions the Act sets.
To exercise a right, write to the person in charge named in section 2 of this policy and say which right you are using. We may ask you for reasonable information to confirm your identity before we act on your request. We answer in writing within 30 days of receiving it. Exercising your rights is free. We may charge a reasonable fee only to transcribe, reproduce or send information, and we will tell you the approximate amount before we do. If we refuse a request, we explain why in writing and tell you how to contest our decision. If you have a disability, tell us what accommodation you need and we will provide reasonable accommodation.
12. Questions and complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, write to the person in charge named in section 2 of this policy. Describe the problem and how to reach you. We look into every complaint and answer you in writing within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec at www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.
13. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. For significant changes, we also show a notice on our website. The policy in force is the one on this page.
